The BMS returns: Mostly Repaired…

After realizing that the BMS was in fact internally damaged, I reluctantly filled out an RMA, carefully packed up the BMS, and sent it off to surgery.

I’ve been impressed with the quality of the Orion team since I originally started looking into their product so I knew my BMS would be in good hands. Well… apparently not entirely true…

After a week or so I got the BMS back and eagerly opened the box to discover that the BMS was damaged. Two of the fins were bent and the black coating had even been scraped off in places. My nice pristine BMS now looked like it had just been thrown around, dropped, and just generally not cared for. After contacting the distributor and Orion, they simply responded back with “sorry” and “just bend the fins back with a screw driver and some pliers.”
